If you're using Google Workspace, there's no better CRM on the market than Copper. They've invested immense resources into building the deepest integrations with your Email, Calendar, Files (Drive).
While other CRM's that we love like Folk do integrate with Google Workspace, the degree in which emails are ingested into Copper is at a whole different level. You can technically fully manage your Gmail inbox from right within Copper.
Copper also has a Chrome Extension that lives in Gmail & Calendar, so you can fully live in Gmail and access Copper without even leaving Gmail if you prefer. It's incredibly powerful.

The CRM for small + medium teams (200 or less) that use Google Workspace.
If your team is using Google Workspace and you haven't yet considered Copper—take a minute right now to do just that.
Copper spends an absurd amount per-month in server costs alone, just to give you the deepest Google Workspace integration of any CRM out there.
As compared to all of the CRMs on the market, Copper has one of the most user-friendly experiences (which helps with team adoption), as well as a fully baked Chrome extension that allows you to use Copper (view tasks, past activity, and easily add new contacts to the CRM), without ever needing to even leave Gmail or Google Calendar.
Copper natively supports automated emails on both a one-off instance, as well as an email sequence (though the latter is restricted to the Business tier for now).
You can use this to automatically send an email (or sequence of emails if there's no reply) to either a lead or person. So say you have a site form that adds a new lead to Copper upon submission, you can simply have it set that lead to a specific status, and then trigger the email to send out based on that filter. Allowing you to send from either the lead owner, or the team member that actually created the automation:
The main thing to note here is that Copper's email automation actually sends the email directly from your Google Workspace/Gmail account, so note that it is a transactional email, meaning that there is no "unsubscribe" option, and if someone marks you as "spam", that can substantially hurt your domain.
So when using the native Copper Email Automation functionality, make sure people have properly opted in to hear from you. On the plus side of this, it'll feel like the end recipient is getting an actual personalized email from you, which is a huge benefit as most other CRMs on the market do not allow you to send emails directly from your Gmail email account. This greatly improves delivery and personalization.
Currently, only People and Leads support the email automation functionality within Copper, with automated email upon Opportunity stage change coming later this year.
You're also currently restricted to the native system merge fields like Name/Company/Title for use within the email templates that you use with email automation, with hopefully full custom field support coming in the future.
If you're looking to do colder marketing email outreach (and are okay with an "unsubscribe" link), would like full merge field functionality, or trigger emails upon opportunity stage change, that's where pairing a tool like Outfunnel will get you more what you're looking for. We've excessively used the API of all the major CRMs on the market and I'm here to tell you that Copper's API is fantastic. Their API is one of the most powerful and user-friendly to build on, especially as compared to that of HubSpot for which has some incredibly odd API design decisions.
While this might not sound like a big deal, if you ever plan on integrating your CRM (or hiring a company like ours to do it), I'm here to tell you that building the same integration in HubSpot takes 2–3x as long and is more of a pain to maintain. Copper has native email automation functionality on their Professional and Business tiers. Here's our full breakdown of their new email automation and lead form functionality.
Just note that the email will send from your email account, so if you're doing bulk cold emails, you'll want to avoid it in-case of being marked as spam which can destroy your domain and deliverability.
Out of the box, no CRM really integrates with iOS and Android SMS and phone calls due to the API and privacy limitations on these phones.
You'll definitely want to use a separate VoIP service, like one of the best VoIP solutions we recommend, some of which like Aircall have a native integration with Copper.
Needing a VoIP (SMS/telephony integration) is definitely more of a business feature need though, so when looking at smaller team CRM's like folk are rarely going to have a native integration of any kind.
Yes, we actually use Copper alongside Superhuman ourselves. Since both Superhuman and Copper are built atop Google Workspace, your emails sent from Superhuman will automatically ingest into Copper, since Superhuman is just a layer atop your Gmail, and emails still show up in your Gmail inbox (which is what Copper looks at when pulling in email activity).
The only thing to note here is that Copper does have a Chrome Extension, which allows for Copper to show up in the sidebar of your Gmail, making it quick and easy to add new contacts as people/leads in the CRM, and easily access historical activity and custom fields without leaving Gmail. That is all the extension does though (it's not needed for any of the integration/ingesting of emails). It also works in Superhuman as a sidebar, just a bit less functionality than using it directly in Gmail. Either way, for us, the benefits that come from using Superhuman over Gmail outweigh having full functionality in the Copper sidebar extension.
