Cal.com is the most impressive, flexible, and modern scheduling software on the market.
Where meeting schedulers have become more of a feature of a product, like that of Motion, amongst others in the best calendar apps space, Cal has doubled down on that fact by not only making their tool open source core, but by also giving a robust API, allowing you to use their scheduling infrastructure for your own product.
While Calendly was the leader the the meeting scheduling space for the past decade, over the past few years Cal.com has given them a run for their money, and in our opinion, has has overtaken them.
Cal.com has all the functionality that Calendly has, but a lot more. For instance, Cal.com is especially great if your team has round robin requirements (assigning calls to different team members in turns or based on specific rules you set), or you have robust workflow requirements that you want to automate (e.g. you want to ask a series of questions prior to call, take payment, or send tailored communication pre-or-post call).
Cal.com is also a great alternative for anyone looking for an open source alternative. Being open source, Cal.com is suited for our more technical friends, enterprises, educational institutions, or doctors offices who want to self-host Cal.com and fully customize their booking experience, and have full ownership over their data and privacy.

For those seeking a project management tool that is simple (< 50 team members), we recommend Motion as an alternative to Asana, ClickUp and Monday. Vimcal is a keyboard shortcut-heavy calendar alternative that is trying to be the "Superhuman of Google Calendar".
While we appreciate the approach and were super excited by the vision as we absolutely love Superhuman, we've found that other alternatives like Motion do a better job when comparing Vimcal vs Motion side-by-side.

Notion Calendar is a free & beautiful calendar app alternative. If you just want a free, nicer looking calendar, that allows for basic meeting scheduling, then Notion Calendar is a great choice.
If you're considering Notion Calendar as daily planner alternative, that's where it falls apart. To use Notion Calendar for as a daily planner, you'd need to be using Notion for task management, which strongly advise against (Read our full Notion Review to understand why). While avid Notion users (who have built their own task management system) may benefit from using Notion + Notion Calendar, this is not recommended for the average person—don't start down this rabbit hole. Instead, use any other daily planner alternative listed and you'll be in a better spot 👌
