You'll see some other sites advertising this one, but the problem is, it's actually a terrible offer once you start reading into it, and thus Mercury has killed it off, although some sites still advertise it, so it needs to be addressed.
This does not exist anymore, but just to explain how it worked (and why it was such a bad offer): To redeem this Mercury promotion in the past, they'd require you to use their debit card and spend $10,000 over the first 90 days of opening the bank account up.
Huge downsides: To spend $10K on debit cards, you are 1) not getting any rewards, and 2) must have $10K in your account to spend $10K on a business debit card (the other offer only requires $5K deposited).
So here you are, essentially having a higher requirement than the $250 deal ($5K in your account), but you also need to spend $10K, for which you'd actually get $200–300 in credit card rewards using one of the best expense management solutions on the market, like Ramp or BILL Spend & Expense.
What Mercury is essentially proposing here is giving you a delayed reward, and less than you'd make if you just did the first $250 offer alongside just using a business credit card with rewards. So it's not actually a "deal", it's just confusing.
