ClickUp takes bigger swings when it comes to innovation, trying to be more than just another project manager by aiming for an all-in-one platform. Even though a lot of those features feel unfinished and sometimes just for show, they're at least pushing into new territory.

Trello, on the other hand, had its moment as an innovator with the Kanban view, but now it's stuck in place and just blends in with the crowd.

If you care about tools that are actually trying to rethink what project management can be, ClickUp is the one making moves, even if the results are uneven. Trello just isn't pushing the envelope anymore.
