Notion includes AI-powered workspace tools at the Business tier and above, but there's no evidence that these AI features provide a meaningful advantage for CRM use. You still have to build your CRM system from scratch, maintain it, and handle the ongoing structure and data entry. The AI capabilities are not called out as genuinely time-saving or workflow-friendly in CRM scenarios, so you end up doing most of the heavy lifting manually.

You get access to AI, but it doesn't remove the core friction points that make Notion a poor fit for CRM. The result is you might see some AI features, but they don't solve the bigger problems or make your CRM workflow feel any smoother.

Notion gives you a strong API and a huge ecosystem of third-party tools and templates, so if you're technical, you can connect it to pretty much anything and build out what you need. The integrations aren't just surface-level, you get real flexibility, especially if you treat Notion as a database and want deep connections.

But when you try to use Notion as a CRM, the integrations don't always feel seamless. Tools like Notion Mail and Notion Calendar are really just separate apps with light connections, not unified experiences. You still have to do a lot of setup and ongoing tinkering to make everything work together in a way that actually adds value for CRM workflows.

If you're willing to put in the work and your team is technical, you'll get reliable, valuable integrations. For everyone else, expect to hit friction and spend a lot of time building and maintaining the connections yourself.
