Comparison Summary

Airwallex makes handling international payments easy by letting customers pay and you keep funds in their currency, while QuickBooks Online is focused on US accounting and sales tax.

Only use QuickBooks Online if you need US-specific accounting, but pick Airwallex for anything with global payments or multi-currency needs.

If you need to handle multi-currency payments, Airwallex is in a different league. It lets your customers pay in their own currency, lets you keep those funds without forced conversions, and even lets you spend directly from those foreign balances using built-in corporate cards. That means fewer FX fees and less hassle if you're running a business with money coming in and out of different countries.

QuickBooks Online is really focused on US businesses and doesn't offer anything close to this level of multi-currency support. Its strengths are in US accounting and tax, not in managing international payments or holding multiple currencies.

So if your business is global and you want serious multi-currency tools, Airwallex is the clear pick. If you only operate in the US and multi-currency isn't a concern, this isn't even a factor and you'd look at other strengths. But for anything cross-border, Airwallex leaves QuickBooks Online in the dust.
