Only use Vivaldi if you care about customizing every button; skip Edge since its main AI feature isn't a real advantage.
If you care about browser customization above all else and want to move every button exactly where you want it, Vivaldi is the only one here that lets you go wild. But that freedom comes with a tradeoff: the whole thing looks and feels stuck in 2015, so you get ultimate control but a dated vibe that hasn't kept up with modern design or workflow improvements.
Edge, on the other hand, feels dated too but in a different way. Its big pitch is AI features, but those are mostly just a wrapper around ChatGPT and don't actually push the experience forward for most users. Unless you're deep in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Edge doesn't stand out on customization or unique workflow either.
So if your priority is tweaking every last detail, Vivaldi is the clear pick despite its throwback look. If you want a more modern or innovative experience, neither really delivers, but Edge doesn't offer anything to justify picking it over Vivaldi for customization.
