Comet Browser is still completely under wraps—we haven’t gotten our hands on it yet, as it’s currently invite-only with no public access or real details available. That said, it’s being built by the team behind Perplexity, one of our favorite AI search engines (and desktop apps), so naturally, expectations are high.
Given how well Perplexity has executed on intuitive, fast, and genuinely useful AI-powered search, we’re hoping Comet brings that same experience to the browser space. But until we (or anyone else for that matter) see it in action, it’s just total speculation. Any AI companies that are valued at billions with hundreds of millions of venture backing are for sure to be an interesting entrant in the browser space.

But given Perplexity’s track record—fast, accurate, clean AI search with zero fluff—it’s hard not to get your hopes up.
