Comparison Summary

Chrome stays reliable and familiar, especially if you're tied to Google or not using Mac, while Sidekick's supposed productivity edge is outdated and its design feels behind newer browsers.

Skip Sidekick unless you have a specific need for it, and just use Chrome for a smoother, more consistent experience.

Editor's Verdict

Editor's Verdict

Chrome is the clear pick here. Sidekick has been shut down, so it's not even an option anymore.

Even before that, Sidekick's so-called productivity features were already outdated and didn't stack up against what's available in other modern browsers. Its design felt behind the curve, especially compared to newer browsers like Arc and SigmaOS.

Chrome isn't perfect, it's familiar, stable, and consistent, but doesn't push boundaries on features or tab management. Still, it actually works and is supported, which is more than you can say for Sidekick. If you need a browser from these two, go with Chrome every time.
