Comparison Summary

Brave gives you strong privacy, ad blocking, and crypto features, but managing seed phrases can be a hassle if you just want something simple, while Zen Browser tries to mimic Arc's sidebar but runs into site bugs and extension issues because it's Firefox-based.

Only use Zen Browser if avoiding Chromium is your top priority; otherwise, Brave is the clear pick for privacy and daily reliability.

Editor's Verdict

Editor's Verdict

If you care about having all your Chrome extensions work and want a smooth switch from Chrome or other Chromium browsers, Brave is the clear pick. It runs on Chromium, so pretty much everything just transfers over, extensions, bookmarks, the whole workflow, without headaches.

Zen Browser tries to offer a modern, Arc-inspired vibe on top of Firefox, but you'll lose most of your extensions and run into more site bugs, since the web is built around Chromium now. Unless you're a hardcore Firefox fan who doesn't mind missing extensions and possible compatibility issues, Zen is a tougher sell.

So if you want the easiest transition and the least friction with your extensions and web compatibility, Brave is the obvious choice. Only go with Zen if you're deeply committed to Firefox and can live with the tradeoffs. Otherwise, Brave just makes life simpler.
